Every Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant on the College's public register already has a page here. You did not create it, and you do not have to do anything with it. This page is for when you want to.
It follows the order you will actually meet things: sign in, claim, edit, publish. If you are looking for one particular answer, the headings below are the map.
First: there are three levels, and the first one is free
The rest of this page says "Pro and above" or "Premium" in a lot of places, so it is worth knowing what those mean before you meet them.
Free — $0, permanently. Claim your listing and keep it accurate. Your photo, bio, services, FAQs, links, opening hours, and a contact form if you want one. This is not a trial and it does not expire.
Pro — $95/year. Your page becomes your page: a proper landing-page layout with no rcic.link header, footer or rival consultants beside your contact details. Adds a choice of designs, your own accent colour, and a booking link to your calendar.
Premium — $195/year. Everything in Pro, on your own domain — www.yourfirm.ca instead of an rcic.link address — plus the designs reserved for Premium, renaming your navigation, and connecting your own analytics.
Two things that are true at every level, because they are the ones people assume are paid:
- Claiming is free, and nothing you write is ever deleted if you stop paying. Drop from Premium to free with twelve services and your page shows the first five; the other seven are waiting if you come back.
- The contact form is free, on any plan, and it is off until you switch it on. What a paid plan changes is not whether you get enquiries but where they land — see the Enquiries tab below.
The full comparison is in section 5. You can also see every design at the gallery, and once you are signed in you can preview any of them with your own content in it before deciding — including the ones your plan does not include yet.
1. Signing in
Go to the login page and enter the email address on your CICC registration. Not a personal address, not a newer one — the one the College publishes.
We email you a link. Clicking it signs you in. There is no password to choose and none to forget.
Two things worth knowing before you start:
- The link is the only way in. If it does not arrive, check the spam folder before requesting another. Repeated requests in a short period are rate-limited, so waiting a minute is faster than pressing the button again.
- If your registered address is out of date, nothing here will work, because the address is how we know the listing is yours. Email [email protected] and we will correct it by hand.
You stay signed in for 7 days, or until 12 hours pass with no activity — whichever comes first. After that you sign in the same way again.
2. Claiming your listing
The first time you sign in, we match your email against the register and hand you your listing. If your address appears against more than one registration — which happens at firms sharing one contact address — you are asked which one is yours.
Claiming is free, and it is free permanently. It is not a trial.
The important thing to understand is what claiming does not do:
Claiming records that the listing is yours. It changes nothing that a visitor sees. Until you press Publish, your page is still the one built from the register.
That trips people up, so it is worth repeating in the section it belongs to.
3. Save and Publish are different buttons
At the bottom of the dashboard there are two, and they do different jobs.
| what it does | |
|---|---|
| 💾 Save & Preview | Stores your changes and shows you the page they produce. Nothing is public. |
| 🚀 Publish | Takes what you have saved and makes it the page the world sees. |
You can save as often as you like. Nothing you type is visible to anyone until you publish it.
Once you do publish, the line beside the buttons tells you where you stand — Not published yet, Unpublished changes, or Published with the date. If it says your plan changed since you last published, publish again: your live page is still rendering the old tier.
Published changes take up to five minutes to appear, because pages are cached close to your visitors. If you refresh and see the old version, that is why. Wait rather than publishing repeatedly.
4. What is on each tab
Profile
Who you are. Photo and logo (JPEG, PNG or WebP), business or employer, bio, an optional longer "About", years of experience, specialty, languages, phone and address.
Two notes on this tab:
- Your name and registration number are not editable, and neither is your registered email. They come from the College's register, which is the whole point of the page. If any of them is wrong on the register, correcting it there is what fixes it here.
- Years of experience is the only figure anywhere on your page. There is no field for a success rate, a client count or a star rating, and there will not be. You are a licensee of the CICC and your advertising is governed by its Code of Professional Conduct; a claim you cannot substantiate is the sort of thing a general website builder will happily let you publish and we would rather not offer you the slot.
Services & FAQs
What you do, and the questions you get asked constantly.
Each service is a title, a description, and optionally a picture. FAQs are a question and an answer. How many of each you can publish depends on your plan — the 3 / 10 counter beside each Add button shows where you are, and the limit is enforced when the page is built rather than only in the browser.
Three further sections live here — Why choose us, How it works, and Testimonials. They appear on Pro and Premium, on the templates that have somewhere to put them.
Nothing is deleted if your plan lapses. If you drop from Premium to free with twelve services, your page shows the first five and the other seven sit there untouched. Re-subscribe and they all come back.
Links & Booking
Your social profiles and your website, all optional.
Booking link (Pro and above) is the URL of your own scheduling page — Cal.com, Calendly, whatever you use. Paste the whole address. It must start with https://.
Opening hours (Pro and above) are seven free-text fields plus a note. Leave a day blank and it is left off rather than shown as closed.
Enquiries
How many enquiries you have received this year, a link to read them, and one checkbox: Show a contact form on my profile.
That checkbox is off until you turn it on, deliberately. A form is available to every consultant who has claimed their listing, free included — but we will not put one on your page because you happened to sign in. Visitors who use it never see your email address; the message arrives in your inbox and is kept in the dashboard.
What a paid plan changes is not whether you get a form but where the enquiry lands: on the free tier your page is a directory listing, and a directory listing shows nearby consultants alongside it. On Pro your page is your own, and it does not.
Appearance
On the free tier this tab is mostly locked, and it is honest about why — each control says which plan it belongs to.
- Template — the layout of your page. Every design is in the gallery and you can open a full example of any of them before deciding. There is also a try it control that renders your own content in a template you do not have yet, so you can look at your own name and services in a design before paying for it.
- Images — pictures the template places itself, like a hero. Service pictures are set on the service, over on the Services tab.
- Navigation labels (Premium) — rename the links across the top. You are renaming the sections your template already has; you cannot add a link to a section that does not exist.
- Accent colour (Pro and above) — one colour. Everything else on the page is derived from it, which is what stops a page looking assembled by committee. It applies on your own landing page and, on Premium, everywhere. On the standard directory layout your page keeps rcic.link's colours, because a personal accent inside our header and footer reads as a fault rather than a choice.
- Analytics (Premium) — your own Google Analytics or Meta Pixel ID. We do not provide a stats dashboard; you connect the tool you already use.
- Custom domain (Premium) — see below.
- Search appearance and Show contact details openly (Premium) — both only take effect once you are on your own domain.
Plan
What you are on now, what each tier includes, and how to change it.
If you have a subscription, use Manage subscription to switch tier, update your card or cancel — it edits the subscription you have. The pricing table is for a first purchase; going through it again buys a second subscription rather than moving the one you already own.
5. What each plan actually changes
| Free | Pro — $95/yr | Premium — $195/yr | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Services / FAQs | 5 / 3 | 15 / 10 | 30 / 20 |
| Contact form | ✅ opt-in | ✅ opt-in | ✅ opt-in |
| Your own page — no rcic.link header, footer or rival consultants | — | ✅ | ✅ |
| Templates, booking link, accent colour | — | ✅ | ✅ |
| Premium-only templates | — | — | ✅ |
| Rename your navigation | — | — | ✅ |
| Own domain, analytics, search fields | — | — | ✅ |
The dashboard's own "What's included" list is generated from the same source the locks are, so if the two ever disagree, that list is the one to trust.
6. Your own domain
Premium only, and it is the one part of this that is not instant.
Type the address on the Appearance tab — use a www address — and press Request setup. You are shown the DNS records to add at your registrar, and we are notified at the same time. A certificate is issued by hand, so there is a wait measured in hours rather than seconds, and you get an email when the domain is live.
You can set a domain once yourself. Changing or removing it afterwards means retiring a certificate, so that goes through [email protected].
7. Things only we can do
Deliberately not in the dashboard, because each one either cannot be undone or affects what the register says:
- correcting your registered name or email
- changing a custom domain once it is live
- removing your listing from the directory, and putting it back
- branded email forwarding
All of them: [email protected].
8. If something looks wrong
- Published, but the page has not changed. Give it five minutes. Caching, not a failure.
- Your plan changed and the page did not. Press Publish again — the message above the buttons says so when this is the case.
- A field will not save. Every save goes as one piece, so one rejected value stops the rest. The message at the top of the dashboard names what was refused.
- Signed out unexpectedly. Sign in again; the link is the route back. If it keeps happening, tell us — that is a bug on our side, not on yours.
Anything else, write to [email protected] and say which RCIC number you are asking about.
